Small business association, call to Action!

providing america's small businesses with time effective political action plans, to accomplish our mission

The time has come to launch our 2012 membership drive and start our Election 2012 campaign. Membership numbers are important for elections and even more important for being involved in the political process. This campaign will be called "THE POWER OF YOU"! You are the key element in the success of our association and more importantly the success of the United States.

Our economy has gone from prosperity, to one of the worst in recent memory.  Comparisons are made on the evening news to the worst economic downturns in American history.

No one saw it coming. Something like the story of the Titanic, many thought the U. S. economy was unsinkable. Similar to the historical account of warnings of icebergs to the ships Captain, warnings had been sounded about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but those on the lookout (members of Congress) gave assurances that everything was fine. Like the Titanic, we were running at full speed and suddenly we slam into an iceberg (the sub-prime mortgage fiasco). Can repairs be made before the ship slowly sinks. At IOBUSA we think this concept of a small business association with a new plan of member involvement, can help repair the damage. Through our plan to work with Congress, in a systematic way, we can address the rebuilding of our free market.

NEWS FLASH - TEXAS
It's Our Business Association's Get Out the Vote Campaign Successful
IOBUSA board members decided, with the Nov. 2, 2010 election, to test our ability to quickly organize a "get out the vote campaign". We picked the Governors race, 2 highly contested Congressional races and 33 Texas House of Representatives races. We developed 5 rating categories from "Very Pro" to "Very Weak" on Small Business Issues including eliminating burdensome regulation, extending tax cuts and repeal of the new onerous Health Care Reform bill. Results: Governor: Win for Perry, Congress: WIn for challengers in Dist 17 & 23, Texas House: 28 wins and 5 losses. SEE RESULTS HERE!

Small business association wants FREE ENTERPRISE!

"Why is our free enterprise system so strong? Not because it stands still, frozen in the past, but because it has always adapted to changing realities."                - Lee Iococca

Free Enterprise - The freedom of private businesses to operate competitively for profit with minimal government regulation. (Answers.com)

Small Businesses are clearly under represented in the political process at the national, state and local levels. A quick Google search of "small business advocacy US" will make things abundantly clear. The biggest advocate for small business is the US Small Business Administration. Don't get us wrong, the SBA has done good things over the years and provides plenty of valuable statistics. But having your biggest advocate be a government agency, has a lot to be desired.

So why a new small business association? Current economic conditions demand urgent action. Free Enterprise is under attack and our opponents are organized, aggressive and well funded.

Small Business Owners are fiercely independent and their time is a cherished commodity. These strengths, have become political weaknesses over the past two decades. As small business owners ourselves, we have realized that we must unite with other small businesses all over the country in order to revive our economy and free enterprise system.

Small businesses that are members of any existing small business association, total less than 3% of the nation's existing small businesses.

In, 2008, there were 29.6 million small businesses in the United States, according to SBA's Office of Advocacy estimates.
So go ahead, do your searches, check out the political activities of all those claiming to represent small businesses. Most claim to have been working for small businesses for many years. How's that been working for you, is your business opportunity getting better?

If things are not getting better, come stand with us in a dynamic small business association, to rebuild our free market and strengthen our country, click here for Membership.
